My intention in the therapeutic process is to accompany, bear witness, and assist in the development of a symbolic language so that a person may bring unconscious aspects of the Self to light . Utilizing traditional psychoanalysis, dream analysis, mediating from addiction to creativity, from possession to liberation.

I am accepting new clients at my private practice location in Calabasas.
I work with adults who may be coming to therapy struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, co-dependency, low self esteem, difficulties finding meaning and purpose, and/or a history of trauma and abuse. Common to all of my clients is an interest and pursuit in knowing themselves. It is imperative to me that clients are involved in developing an inner dialogue between their consciousness and unconscious aspects of psyche. This is achieved through containment in the therapeutic process, attention paid to dream symbols, and shadow work.

In both my individual and group work, I facilitate a therapeutic process that engages the shadow aspects of psyche. Within the shadow resides the marginalized, concealed, hidden gems of the totality of the Self. Shadow is a term employed in Jungian psychology to name unconscious aspects of the personality which the conscious ego does not identify in itself. Seemingly, these qualities are dark in nature, possessive with an autonomous force that threatens to bring down the entire system we have long identified with as our Self.
In fact, the shadow’s purpose is to introduce us to numinous and emerging properties that want to be known and integrated. When discussing the Feminine aspects our psyche we pull focus to the facets of our souls that rule our creative spirit, our desire for connection, our capacity to nurture and hold space. Meeting these parts of ourselves in Shadow form actualize a confrontation so powerfully compelling, that it threatens to destroy our very soul. As artists, our work is to set out to find intimacy with the abject and to materialize the relationship between consciousness and the Shadow.

Groups are designed to create community and connection as we explore deeper levels of vulnerability. I host groups in private practice as well as in-patient and out-patient treatment facilities. Please inquire about participating in current on-going groups for recovery.
